This clip of Medgar Evers College’s Opening Ceremony of 1650 Bedford Avenue was recorded by the Media Services Department on January 28th, 1988. It contains the actual ribbon cutting ceremony with acting President Leo Corbie and a number of Department chairs present. This fifteen minute clip goes on to include portions of individual speeches and song to celebrate the opening of the Bedford Building. Guest performer, Mrs. Diane Randolph and Speakers include, Borough Pres. Howard Golden, Rev. Samuel Austin, Benjamin Waxman, Hon. Sylvia Bloom, and many more.
